Sydney St. John- Foothills Painting company Lead Manager

Sydney St. John

Lead Office Manager

Sydney joined the Foothills team in 2018. She started as a sales representative and is now the head office manager, overseeing the specialty department. She lives in Colorado and holds an English Literature degree from CU Boulder.

Her biggest pleasures in life are travel, the outdoors, good cuisine, and wine. When she’s not working, Sydney enjoys spending time with her friends and family, including her husband Jack, their son Kellen, and their two dogs, Indi and Homer.

Abbey Smith

Office Manager

Nebraska was Abbey’s home from birth. Abbey was a former UFC Las Vegas employee. After relocating to Colorado five years earlier, she became an office manager at Foothills in 2022.

Abbey uses her time away from work to compete in archery events. We are all kept organized by her discipline and enthusiasm!

Tara Hennig

Office Manager

In 2021, Tara became a part of the group. She was born in Colorado and went to Colorado State University.

She loves meeting new clients and hearing about their projects. It’s a great way to start their time with Foothills. She loves exploring, hiking, and skiing with her partner Ben, family, and friends.

Since leaving Michigan, Rachael Joy has lived in Colorado for nine years. Two years at New Creation, Church School of Bible and Ministry, followed her pastry arts degree from The French Pastry School of Chicago.

Rachael, our business development manager, content producer, and event coordinator, loves playing card games with her family and walking her dog Ruby. She volunteers with church youth.

Adam Dietz

Lead Project Estimator

Colorado is where Adam was born and raised. As football season approaches, he loves to cook outside and have people over.

His favorite thing to do in his spare time is hang out with his wife Aida and dog Baxter. Adam likes to play golf and try new beers at many of the breweries in Colorado.

Alex Barstow

Lead Project Estimator

Alex was born in Fort Collins and played hockey as a child. His time in the Marine Corps was five years. After high school, he served with the 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines.

Alex went back to Fort Collins after being Honorably Discharged in 2014. He then graduated from Colorado State University near there. Whenever Alex is not at work, he likes to explore the outdoors, whether it’s in the fields or the mountains.

Hillary Martin

Project Estimator

Hillary was born and raised in Ventura, CA. She has been with Foothills for over ten years and enjoys assisting clients in transforming their homes. She studied art education at Colorado State University and enjoys talking about distinctive decor and artwork.

Her interests include photography, art projects (painting, woodworking, charcoal sketching, and ceramics), fishing, camping, gardening, animals, travel, and spending quality time with friends and loved ones.

Mike Fiech

Project Estimator

Mike was born and raised in the Midwest before moving to Colorado in 2012, where he has spent nearly a decade working in the residential painting industry.

He is passionate about developing genuine relationships with homeowners and instilling trust in the painting process. Mike lives in Erie, Colorado, with his wife and son, and they enjoy exploring the Foothills and travelling.

Chip Brekken

Project Estimator

Chip is originally from Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota. He lived in Seattle before moving to Colorado 21 years ago. He currently lives in Lone Tree with his two teenage sons.

The three of them love to play golf, ski in the mountains, and travel as much as possible. Chip has been to over 60 countries around the world, but he loves spending time in Colorado due to the incredible weather and sunshine here.

Chris Hall

Lead Painter

Chris was born in Vallejo, California, and has been in Colorado for three years (and counting!). He joined Foothills as Lead Painter in 2021 and enjoys the team’s family dynamic. When Chris is not painting, he enjoys fishing, hiking, and cooking with his family.

Chris Hartland

Production Manager

Chris used to live in Pennsylvania and graduated from Bloomsburg University with a degree in computer information systems. Chris and his family moved to Broomfield in 2001. They have lived in Colorado ever since.

Chris loves fishing and hiking a lot. In 2021, he and his son walked 100 miles of the Colorado Trail and now they want to do the whole 500 miles!

Gordon Cobb

Production Manager

Gordon was born and raised in Kansas. He went to Kansas Wesleyan University to get his degree, where he majored in Business Management and Leadership and played golf for the school.

Gordon likes to watch his hometown team, the Kansas City Chiefs, play golf, and enjoy the new, beautiful state of Colorado when he’s not building homes or helping clients.

Jason May

Production Manager

Jason lived in Colorado and New Mexico as a child. He finished with honors from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a BS in Cognitive Psychology and a BA in Business Administration. He also has a certificate in Business Administration from the Lloyd International Honors College.

Jason does more than just run projects. He also writes and teaches Filipino, Indonesian, and Japanese martial arts to civilians, police officers, and former soldiers.

Ray Sallee

Production Manager

Ray is the Production Manager for Foothills Painting. He was born in Oklahoma and served as a submarine veteran in the United States Navy.

Ray has two children (who have several pets, including a crazy mini pony), and he enjoys watching them play at the ball fields.

Ben used to go to Colorado State University and now lives in Arvada. He learned to love the woods while growing up in Steamboat Springs. He’s determined to build a business that will last and help society and the environment.

Ben likes the Green Bay Packers. He also likes to ski and hike, and he loves working with the nice people at Foothills.

Paul Schroeder

Co-Owner

Paul graduated from Colorado State University, lives in Colorado, and is one of the owners of Foothills Painting. He is an avid sports lover who lives for the football season.

He is a die-hard Broncos supporter. When Paul isn’t working, you can find him enjoying everything Colorado has to offer with his wife Whitney and their three children!
