Foothills Painting completed a full interior repaint for a home in Fort Collins, CO. The project included painting the walls, trim, and ceilings across key rooms of the house. One of the standout design elements in this project was the use of a color drench technique in both the library and one of the bedrooms, giving those spaces a bold and cohesive look.

For the main interior color, we used Shoji White SW 7042, which created a warm and clean backdrop throughout the home. The library featured a dramatic color drench with Portsmouth SW, in which the same color was carried across multiple surfaces to create depth and character. The stair handrail was finished in Tricorn Black SW 6258, adding contrast and a strong architectural accent.
The interior painting project took about four days to complete.

Background / Story:

The homeowners wanted a refreshed interior that felt modern but still comfortable. Over time, the previous paint had started to feel dated and inconsistent from room to room. They also wanted to experiment with a more design-focused approach in certain spaces while keeping the main areas light and inviting.

During planning, we talked through how color could shape the feel of different rooms. The library and bedroom became great opportunities to introduce a color drench approach, which uses the same color across walls and surrounding surfaces to create a rich and immersive effect. The remaining rooms were kept lighter with Shoji White to balance the darker feature areas. Once the plan was finalized, the project moved quickly and smoothly over the four-day schedule.
